Erik Edman suspects many of us are not aware just how popular a team Spurs are in his native Sweden.
The full-back - expected to feature for his national team in a World Cup qualifier at home to Malta next Saturday - reports there is huge interest in the Premiership, with Spurs enjoying a sizeable share of the support.
He pointed out, however, that the fanbase has been a long-standing one and has not simply developed since he joined the club.
"I don't think you guys really understand how big Tottenham is in Sweden," reasoned the left back. "For you it is a big club here, but it is a really big club at home.
"The time when we were winning things made Tottenham a really big club there and there is a Swedish supporters club, for example.
"The Premier League is the most watched league in Sweden and there is a great interest from everybody."
