Saturday's 5-4 defeat - Erik described as 'crazy' - at the hands of Arsenal was our fifth straight loss in the league.
But the recently-named Swedish Defender of theYear is certain better days are just around the corner.
"Arsenal was crazy," said Erik, whose first derby marked his return after five weeks out through injury. "We let in five goals, four of them sloppy. But still I feel we are on the right track.
"I know it sounds crazy because we've lost five games in a row in the league but I feel confident. I am anxious to go and play on Monday and get a good result at Villa.
"The belief is there. I feel we have a great squad. We have to train together and get to know each other better but I feel we have a great side and we just need the points to get the confidence going. Hopefully then we'll put some good results together."
Erik Edman firmly believes we'll turn around our fortunes sooner rather than later in the Premiership.
