Three Lions debut for Eric

Eric Dier earned his first senior England cap in tonight’s (Friday, November 13) friendly in Spain.

The versatile 21-year-old went on as a 63rd-minute substitute in place of Adam Lallana in a 2-0 defeat for the Three Lions in Alicante.

Eric is in the senior international fold for the first time this month, having impressed England boss Roy Hodgson with a string of outstanding displays in a defensive midfield role for us since the beginning of the season.

Dele Alli entered the action alongside Eric on the night, replacing Fabian Delph, meaning all four of our players in the squad were on the pitch for the closing stages of the game, with Harry Kane and Kyle Walker completing the full 90 minutes.
