The midfielder - who made such an impact with his two-goal home debut against Everton on New Year's Day - has been named in the squad for the friendly against Holland at Pride Park on Tuesday.
It's Dean's first international call-up at any level.
He joins new Spurs team-mate Michael Dawson in the squad for Pride Park while Derby favourite Tom Huddlestone, who we announced this week will join us in the summer, also gets the call.
Boss Taylor told www.thefa.com: "Dean Marney has done well since breaking into the Spurs first team and is versatile enough to play in a number of right-sided positions."
Deano's Head Coach at Spurs Martin Jol added this afternoon; "It's something Dean should be very proud of."
Dean Marney has been handed his first England call by Under-21 boss Peter Taylor.
