The match is the ideal preparation for England as they build towards April’s two-leg play off against a dangerous-looking Lithuania side and coach Martin Hunter welcomes the test that lies ahead.
"When you play Germany, you know that it is always going to be a competitive game and that is exactly what we need at this stage in our preparation," he told TheFA.com.
"We are all hoping that the attractive nature of the game will draw a big crowd to get behind the boys at Ipswich."
Meanwhile, Academy goalkeeper Nicky Eyre joins the England Under-17 party for the forthcoming friendly encounter with Slovakia on February 13.
