England blow for Ledley

Posted on 7 February 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Ledley King has been withdrawn from the England squad to face Holland on Wednesday due to a groin injury.

The central defender has been struggling with the problem for a number of weeks and has dropped out of contention for the Villa Park encounter.

"Ledley has been suffering with a groin problem for a while," reported Dr Charlotte Cowie this afternoon. "We have tried to keep him going but it has gradually become more and more uncomfortable. "He has played many matches this season and it gets to a point where he can't just keep going and needs a bit of a break."

Dr Charlotte's Treatment Table feature will appear here on the site tomorrow morning.
