If Michael had scored from the chance he made against Arsenal I would definitely have given him goal of the season - probably because of who the opposition were!
He is another one who has had a fantastic season from midfield and we have seen him develop into a player that can really get hold of a game. When you play in the position he does, one thing you are always striving for from someone like that is someone who can command a game. The best players in that position can do it, Makelele can do it more from a defensive side of things, there are others than can do in an offensive way - and that is what we want from Michael.
If there is one - and it would be the only one - criticism, it is that we still feel there should be more goals from him.
I think it has been difficult for Danny, there is no doubting his quality, but I think he came to the club when a system had been forged and there were a lot of players in front of him that had played a big part of the season.
Consequently, he found it hard to get himself a place in the team. Danny is a very bright lad and I think he very much appreciated the position he was in. I think he will be thinking about how he can develop understandings with players for next season and how he can fit into a team shape.
Danny has been good to have around, he has played a part, but not as big a part as he would probably have liked to have played.
