Hossam came at a time when in midfield the players had played a big part already in the season. When you think of people like Carrick and Jenas who haven't missed many games all season, he has suffered a bit because of that.
Hossam has also had to adapt to a different style of play and it is a different style of game with a real competitive edge and directness at times. He has had to adapt to that and I think his time will come.
A young player that we like to think has got a very bright future here. The difficulty he's had this season is, of course, Michael Carrick, because he has had such an outstanding season.
It is now about Tom developing his game and possibly playing in areas where he must forge relationships - can he play with Carrick? His ideal position is a little bit deeper in midfield because he is someone who likes to have a lot of the ball and can distribute it in a very good fashion.
As a young player, he is almost as good a player on the ball as I have seen. We're hopeful here that his time will come.
