Duo set for Lane debuts

Posted on 8 August 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Bobby Zamora and Mbulelo Mabizela are expected to make their White Hart Lane debuts for the club against Sporting Lisbon on Sunday.

Striker Bobby bagged three goals in two halves of football after signing from Brighton but was sidelined throughout our tour of South Africa and missed last weekend's friendly against PSV with a groin problem.

Meanwhile, Mbulelo made his first appearance in a Tottenham shirt for our Spurs XI in Monday's friendly against Luton Town.

The 22-year-old defender has trained with the squad since arriving back with us from our tour of South Africa and the club hopes, following successful completion of negotiations, medical and work permit, we will be able to announce his transfer.

Boss Glenn Hoddle revealed: "Mbulelo is at the club and he will play a part of the game.

"Bobby Zamora hasn't played for two weeks and although I don't think he's ready for 90 minutes, he'll also play part of the game."
