Younes Kaboul scored on his senior international debut for France in their 4-1 friendly win over Ukraine in Donetsk on Monday.
Laurent Blanc made 10 changes to the side that drew with Belarus in Euro 2012 qualifying on Friday, with Younes coming in at the back alongside Mamadou Sakho.
But Les Bleus fell behind on 53 minutes when Anatoliy Tymoschuk’s long range effort evaded Steve Mandana.
However, a goal from Lorient striker Kevin Gameiro had the visitors back on level terms within five minutes before a late flurry saw France run out comfortable winners.
Sochaux youngster Marvin Martin put them ahead three minutes from time, and it was from his corner that Younes rose to power home a header two minutes later. Martin then rounded off the scoring in the dying moments.
Younes and the squad will now remain in Eastern Europe ahead of another friendly against Poland in Warsaw on Thursday.
