Our Under-18s let a 2-0 lead slip to draw against Arsenal on Saturday - they need two more wins to take the Group B title in the Premier Academy League.
Goals from Ryan Mason (pictured) and John Bostock put the lads in the driving seat against the runaway PAL Group A leaders at London Colney.
But the Gunners replied before half-time and levelled it up with 20 minutes remaining.
The point takes us to 55 from 25 games with main rivals Leicester City - who beat Chelsea 3-0 - on 54 having played a game more. The Foxes can get to 60 points, hence our need for two more wins to clinch the title. Coventry are the only other side in the running with 49 points from 25 games and a maximum of 58 still available.
Coach Alex Inglethorpe reported: "I was delighted with how we started. We went 1-0 up after 20 minutes via a Ryan Mason penalty after Kudos Oyenuga was fouled and five minutes later Ryan sent John Bostock away and he finished well one-on-one.
"It was disappointing to concede just before half-time and we didn't play as well in the second half, our play became a little scrappy while Arsenal stepped up a gear.
"Having said that, we still had a fantastic chance to make it 3-1 only 90 seconds before they equalised when Nathan Byrne was denied by the goalkeeper. They levelled it up with 70 minutes on the clock.
"It just shows that when you are playing well you have to make your opportunities count."
