Jamie has just returned from America where he underwent minor surgery on his injured knee.
And Simon completed his first day back in training at Spurs Lodge on Monday following the hip injury that has kept him out since August.
"Jamie had a simple operation to clean out the knee and the surgeon gave him an extremely optimistic report," said David Pleat. "He is now back working hard in rehabilitation.
"Simon did well in what was a light session and he too now faces an intense course of fitness work. But it's encouraging to see him back out there again with the rest of the group.
"No target has been set for either player's comeback because that would add to the pressure. But both are looking good and we will assess them daily before talking about individual timings in term of a return."
At last there's light ahead for Jamie Redknapp and Simon Davies in their respective bids for full fitness.
