Dean Richards saw the spin of the ball when Vratislav Gresko's speculative effort hit Stephen Carr on Saturday and knew it would end up in the net.
After all, suffering from a deflection is not an altogether unfamiliar feeling recently. The ball taking a cruel divertion on route to goal has cost us at Arsenal and now Blackburn and, once again, Dean feels that the boys deserved at least a share of the spoils on the day.
"It's disappointing because we look back on it and feel that we at least deserved a point. It wasn't a great game but, on the day, we were the better team and definitely didn't deserve to lose.
"It is a shame the way the goal went in because it always makes it that much worse to take.
"As soon as it hit Carry I turned round and saw the way the ball was spinning - and I knew it was going to end up in the net.
"For the second away game running it has cost us two or possibly four points. It is frustrating."
