Craig Dolby top-scored at Jarama, Spain, on Sunday to stretch Tottenham Hotspur's lead in Superleague Formula.
Our highly-rated driver took fifth in the first race at the Madrid track, third in the second race and was sixth in the Super Final to add 73 points to the team's tally.
AC Milan scored 67 points, so our lead is now 60 points over the Italians after four rounds of the 12-round championship.
Once again, Craig's driving impressed. After qualifying, he started eighth in race one but jumped three places on the first lap, held off Flamengo and then got ahead of FC Basel into fourth, but the teams changed places in the compulsory pit stop and we stayed fifth.
Finishing places in race one are always reversed on the grid for race two, so Craig found himself on the seventh row of the grid in 14th.
This is always where his no-fear overtaking skills come to the fore and he didn't disappoint, flying from 14th to eighth in the first two laps, zipping past Flamengo and then, after a superb stop, emerging third from the pits.
His pace wasn’t the same on used tyres afterwards, but he held off a determined challenge from Liverpool’s James Walker for fully 25 minutes in the 45-minute race to take his place on the podium.
Fifth and third places guaranteed a place in the Super Final, where the top six teams go for a £100,000 prize over five laps.
This proved a disappointment for Craig who, from pole position, stormed into the first bend only to lock up and go off at the first corner.
Nevertheless, Tottenham Hotspur SF sit proudly at the top of the standings as the series moves to the famous Nurburgring, Germany, this weekend.
