Big Doc, who kicked off his career at Luton before moving to Spurs, has played Under-21 football for the Republic of Ireland at the home of the current Eircom League champions.
"It was a great crowd then," recalled Gary, now an established member of the full squad. "I'm sure it will a good turn out and it's one to look forward to.
"They will be up for it, that's for sure. It will be a full house and a great occasion for them to test themselves against Premier League players. It's chance to put themselves in the shop window as well.
"Bohemians won the league so it will be a tough game for us. We've got to approach it right and enjoy it."
Bohemians won the Eircom League last November and this friendly begins their preparations for the new season which runs from April-November.
As Irish champions, they will play in the Champions League in July.
Gary Doherty left Ireland for England aged six - but he knows all about Dalymount Park, home of our friendly against Bohemians tomorrow night.
