Doc was forced off the field in the 10th minute following a challenge from Eiffon Williams and a spell on the sidelines looks inevitable.
“We think he’s strained ligaments,” said Glenn. “We’ve sent him off for an X-ray, tomorrow he’ll have a scan and we’re hoping for the best.
“He’s in a bit of pain at the moment, but until we get the answers back we won’t a hundred per cent know the extent.”
Glenn is hoping for the best, and points to the case of Steffen Iversen who, it was believed had cracked a bone, but scans revealed damage to a far lesser extent.
“These injuries, as we saw with Steffen, we thought there was crack there and it was good news that it wasn’t. It looks as though it’s around the ankle area first and foremost.
“It could be two weeks, it could be a lot longer. Until we have the scans tomorrow we won’t know any more.”
Gary Doherty awaits the results of scans to determine the extent of suspected ligament damage sustained in a heavy tackle against Torquay.
