FA PREMIER ACADEMY LEAGUE
Charlton U17s 2-1 Spurs
Coach Jimmy Neighbour admitted he was disappointed with the lads after this defeat at Charlton.
Danny Jones struck a late consolation after linking up with fellow substitute Charlie Lee but an overhead kick in the first half and header at the start of the second half paved the way for Charlton's success.
Jimmy reflected: "We played well in the first 15 minutes without really threatening but Charlton came into the game after that and put us under pressure.
"They took the lead after about 35 minutes with an overhead kick from a long throw that we could have defended better.
"Second half, I was very disappointed. We didn't pass the ball as well as we can, didn't create chances and didn't defend too well.
"They scored against after about 55 minutes after a break down the left and cross that the forward headed home.
"Danny Jones and Charlie Lee combined for a well-taken goal but it was only a consolation really.
"We didn't deserve anything from the game. We've got Arsenal next week and hopefully we'll put it right then."
