I'll start with an update on my injury, which is right at the top of my thigh, in the hip area.
It's a bit better than last week and it's about resting it and making sure it's right so when I start training I don't break down. Hopefully I'll be near in a couple of weeks.
I'm doing a bit of work on the bike and treadmill, taking it as far as I can without getting any pain and I'm looking to start building up in the next week.
It was a great result for the lads against Everton. We're looking solid and scored three great goals. It's lifted anyone at the club. Robbie and Fredi are looking good and it's the same in training. They are quality forwards and compliment each other well. If the team remains solid we've always got chance of scoring and that's the way forward for us.
Fredi's goal on Saturday was sensational and that's what they are capable of.
I hate watching games when I'm out, although it's okay when the lads are doing well. One thing I will say is that it makes you hungry and want to get back as soon as possible.
Attention turns to the Euro 2004 qualifiers this weekend and naturally I'm disappointed to miss out on Wales' final game of the group against Serbia & Montenegro.
It's a huge game but realistically I don't think Italy will slip up against Azerbaijan, so it looks like the play-offs for us. If they did and we won, it would be fantastic. It's disappointing to miss out because I've played every game in the qualifying campaign but it looks like we'll have two massive games in the play-offs.
I'm going down there for Saturday and it will be interesting to see what it's like to watch a game in the Millennium Stadium.
Serbia & Montenegro were strong when we played them away but I felt we were unlucky to lose. It was a goal from a corner and that was disappoiinting because if we'd have nicked a draw, I think we would have been favourites to win the group. They are a good side but I'm sure we'll be alright at home.
We have to beleve we can get the right result whoever we face in the play-offs. At home we've done it and we've proved it to ourselves with the result against Italy.
We haven't been in this situation for years so it would be very disappointing if we don't finally get there. We've been looking forward to it for the last two years and there has been a lot of pressure but the lads have responded. Whatever happens, it's been a great experience.
