DIFFERENT BALL GAME

Radek Cerny believes we must put Wednesday’s Carling Cup semi-final first leg draw against Arsenal out of our minds and expect a completely different game in the return match at White Hart Lane in a fortnight.

The keeper admits we should be taking a lead into the next game after dominating at the Emirates Stadium before conceding an unfortunate 79th minute equaliser, leaving the tie poised at 1-1.

Now Radek feels we have to start with a clean slate when the Gunners visit the Lane, but this time make sure we book our place in the Final at Wembley with a win.

He said: “After the game everyone was a little disappointed because we had lots of chances to win the game.

“I think we’d have definitely won the game had we scored a second goal. After that we may have scored three or four!

“Before the game the manager told us that this is the time we can beat Arsenal, but it’s only one leg, the next leg is at home and every game is so different.

“But I remember last year in the FA Cup against Chelsea, we were 3-1 up at half-time, that ended up a draw, and we lost the replay at home, so every game, especially against Arsenal, will be difficult. But we’re at home and we have to win.”

Before this, we face a trip to Stamford Bridge to take on another of our London rivals Chelsea.

He added: “Every game is so different, and if we’re organised and we concentrate we can win, or have a chance of winning, at Stamford Bridge.”
