Didier Zokora insists the 4-0 Barclays Premier League victory over West Ham on Sunday has given us bags of confidence to go and book our place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup tonight.

The win against the Hammers came after two straight defeats, one of which came in the first leg of our Round of 16 tie against tonight’s opponents PSV Eindhoven at White Hart Lane last Thursday.

But as we prepare to overturn the 1-0 deficit in Holland this evening, our Ivory Coast international has given our rivals a statement of intent.

Didier said: “The win against West Ham has brought the confidence back into the side. PSV are a strong team, but we are ready.

“They played very well in the first leg and they have good players, but after scoring four goals at the weekend, we know we can beat them.

“There is a good feeling within the team, and if we score a goal we will give ourselves a great chance.

“We aren’t nervous. PSV are a big team who have played many times in the Champions League, so although we have a lot of respect for them, we are not nervous.”

Didier is still waiting for his first Spurs goal since joining from St Etienne in the summer of 2006, and although he knows tonight would be the perfect time to open his account, he does not mind where the goals come from.

He added: “We have to score. If it comes from my boot, that’s a bonus, but I don’t care as long as somebody scores!”
