A usually buoyant Didier was naturally down in the dumps after Saturday's opening day defeat at Sunderland and determined to put it right on home soil against Everton on Tuesday night (August 14, 8pm) and then Derby County on Saturday (August 18, 3pm).
Everton arrive at the Lane on the back of a win in their opener against Wigan at Goodison Park and, as last season's 2-0 win in the corresponding fixture underlines, are no pushovers on their travels. Indeed, that was one of only four league defeats we suffered at the Lane.
"The players aren't happy because we lost the first game but the next two games are at home and they are very important," insisted Didier after training at Spurs Lodge.
"If we can pick up six points from those two games we will then be confident and people won't be thinking about Sunderland.
"Everton are playing well and last season they beat us at White Hart Lane. That was disappointing and this is a big game. We want the three points and the players are motivated to show everyone - themselves, the manager, the fans - that we can bounce back from Sunderland.
"The fans are fantastic to me and I want us to go out and win those points for them."
