Lane legend Chris has faced Arsenal as a player, coach and assistant manager since signing professional forms at Spurs in 1979.
He's been at the club since then apart from brief playing spells at West Ham and Brentford between 1990-92 - he soon returned as reserve coach.
"Yes, I'm still excited and I'm also excited for some of these lads," said Chris during this week's preparations.
"There will be a few playing and in the squad who wouldn't have been involved in this game before.
"I'm delighted we're going into it with a good result under out belts at Burnley but generally, those things are immaterial when it comes to this game, form goes out of the window.
"I'm looking forward to it as we all are. The excitement leading up to this game for me is as strong as it's ever been."
Chris Hughton is into his 25th year of North London derbies - but admits the pre-match excitement is as strong as ever.
