Take a look at a unique book by our former player Del Deanus who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease in 2008 at the age of 34 but is clearly showing great determination in his battle.

Despite his illness, which makes the easiest of tasks difficult, Del remains upbeat and has written a book about his life entitled ‘Memories Never Die.' As he is now unable to use his arms, the book was co-written with the help of his childhood friend, Jerry Lyons.

Del started here as a Trainee in 1990 and was part of a youth squad that included Nicky Barmby, Darren Caskey and Paul Mahorn. He also played for England Schoolboys and is currently joint-manager at Enfield Town FC, in Ryman Division One North.
