“It’s everything it’s made out to be, a great game in a great atmosphere,” said the young midfielder after the latest ‘first’ of what has been a fine debut season so far.
Dele was everywhere as we dominated for long periods against an Arsenal side that had won seven of their previous eight league games before Sunday.
Harry Kane gave us a deserved lead going into half-time and the second half was an end-to-end affair with Arsenal initially missing chances, then we racked up another five chances before the Gunners equalised in the 77th minute.

“We dominated the majority of the game, kept the ball in their third of the pitch, we just needed the second goal to kill the game off but it didn’t come and unfortunately they scored,” he said.
“It was a great opportunity to come here and win so when you play as well as we did, you are bound to be disappointed not to come away with all three points.”
Sunday completed a gruelling schedule of three games in six days that started with a win against Villa on Monday and continued with victory against Anderlecht in the Europa League.
“I can’t say it’s been easy, to be honest,” admitted Dele. “Everyone has been doing the right things off the pitch, recovering well and trying to stay fit and strong because we knew it was going to be tough with this game at the end of all of them. We just have to focus on the next game now.”
That game is another derby against high-flying West Ham at the Lane on Sunday, November 22 (4pm) where we’ll look to stretch our unbeaten run in the Premier League 12 matches.
“The lads are in really good form, everyone is playing well and we’re all helping each other out, which I think is really important,” he added.
“We have to keep that feeling, maintain the team spirit and that will keep our confidence high.”
