Typically forthright, the powerful central defender concedes that league ground has been surrendered in the last two games and that wins have got to be registered on the board. Aston Villa at the Lane is the next chance to do just that and Dean describes the forthcoming games as 'winnable'.
"We've got to start winning games - a couple of wins on the bounce and you find yourselves right up the table," he stated.
"That's what we've got to do, we've got a couple of games coming up that are tough but winnable and it is important that we win them, no doubt about that.
"You don't want to look at the bottom half of the table and see yourselves down there - you want to be in the top half."
Dean added that the mood in the squad is one of great optimism at the moment and that it possesses the ability and spirit to achieve a good Premiership placing.
"With the team we've got we should definitely be higher in the league and we've all got to stick together and get a couple of good positive wins.
"Everyone is in a positive frame of mind and we know that we are going forward at the moment, no doubt about that. We had a good run before and we've got to get back to that.
"The good thing is we are looking solid and just have to put our chances away when we get them."
Dean Richards says the Premiership table does not make good reading at the moment and insists the team intend to do something about it.
