That is some compliment, given that Darren has been at the club for over ten years - and very promising bearing in mind that Fredi has been with us for only a few months!
But, picking up the theme preached by all the players, it was the result and manner of the team performance that meant most to the midfielder.
"It was good and what we needed," said Darren back at Spurs Lodge. "We had two good results prior to that without conceding goals and were able to build on it with a convincing win.
"It was a great goal - one of the best goals I've seen at White Hart Lane. I thought we played well up until that point without creating too much and looked solid as well.
"We worked hard and that little bit of magic gave us just what we needed before the break.
"We knew it was a big game for us and the cushion of the three goals enabled us to enjoy it."
Darren, moved back inside from the right for the game, denied that he felt any trepidation in going head-to-head with Everton's fearsome looking midfield duo of Gravesen and Carsley.
"No, not really," he laughed. "They are good hard working players, as are Everton as a team - they don't make it easy for you. For me it was just nice to be playing in the middle."
'One of the best', says Darren - we want to know how you rated Fredi's stunner against Everton. Let us know if you feel it was one of the finest at the Lane, or tell us which goal sticks in your memory and why.
We'll publish the best of your responses over the next few days.
