Michael Dawson's weekly take on all things Spurs...

I'm back in contention! I'm in the squad for Charlton and we'll see what happens from there. I always knew Monday against Fulham would be too early but it's been a good week's training and it's great to be involved again.

It's a massive game to come back into as well. Charlton are a good side and that's why they are second in the table at the moment. It will be a test but we're confident again after beating Fulham. That was a decent win because Fulham are a decent side and it was nice to see us up to fourth place on Monday night.

Charlton have made some shrewd signings over the last couple of years and the latest is Darren Bent up front. He's got his rewards for his start to the season by being in the England set up. He must be chuffed to bits.

They have great pace down the flanks with Rommedahl and Thomas, two real threats, and Danny Murphy is flying this season

I'm sure he'll be looking to make it back in to the next England squad. They are full of good players but we know what we're up against and we'll aim to bring something home from the Valley - ideally three points.

Going back to Darren Bent, it was a big step up for him this season but he's gone to Charlton from Ipswich and scored goals in the Premiership. That's what strikers are all about, scoring goals and he'll be full of confidence. When you do that as a striker everything else takes take of itself.

His performances have been impressive and he's a threat to any defence. He's made the step up, scored goals and got into the England squad - you have to be confident after that start to the season!
