My highlight of 2011
There were so many but leading the team out at AC Milan, having missed the Inter match through injury, was special. Then going to get a famous win at the San Siro, fantastic. We then followed up with a clean sheet at White Hart Lane to go through. The matches against Real Madrid as well, reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The whole run in the Champions League made the lads hungry for more.
Lowlight of 2011
It's got to be the injury. I worked throughout pre-season and then got injured so early, and that has ruled me out of most of this season so far. It's great to be back training again. The City match as well, the 5-1, that wasn't the best of days either.
Best personal moment of 2011
I've to go back to the San Siro again, standing in the tunnel with the captain's armband on, ready to lead the team out against AC Milan. The return leg at the Lane was right up there too. It's difficult to chose between them, but to beat AC Milan in the San Siro was special.
Best Spurs player of 2011
Now that is a tough one, there are so many, Luka, Rafa, but I'd have to go for Gareth Bale. He just nicks it for his form this season. Younes has been in fantastic form this season but for the whole year, I'll say Gareth.
Best goal of 2011
That's tough. I remember Rafa's at Liverpool when we won at Anfield, Luka in the top corner against Liverpool in September, Kyle Walker's winner against Arsenal. Don't forget Crouchy's at AC Milan! I'd have to go for Kyle's against Arsenal, a great strike, his first goal for Tottenham. That just edges it.
One to watch for 2012
I'll say Kyle Walker. He's showed us all what he can do in the first half of this season, won his first England caps and I believe he'll go from strength to strength.
Target for 2012
It's got to be to finish in the top four, but we'll look to try and play as well as we have been playing and win as many games as possible. We'll see where that takes us. There is nothing holding us back at the moment. I've not played my part as much as I would have liked this season but certainly watching on, the lads have been amazing.
And finally, my New Year's Resolution is...
...To stay fit and play as many games as possible. As I've said in my diary, being out injured is tough and it's great to be back. Roll on 2012!
Happy New Year and best wishes to everyone for 2012.
