We are delighted to announce that Michael Dawson and Aaron Lennon have extended their contracts.

Jet-heeled winger Aaron will now stay at the Lane until 2010 and defensive rock Michael until 2011.

Sporting director Damien Comolli commented: "It’s terrific for the Club. These are two young English players who have shown their ability early on and the contribution they can make to our squad.

"Both players have the potential to go on to be full internationals and we are delighted they have underlined their commitment to us by further extending their contracts."

Michael said: "I’m thrilled because this is a great Club to be at. There is a fantastic team spirit and a real sense that the Club is going places."

Aaron added: "I’m thoroughly enjoying my football at Spurs and it’s a great squad that I really feel part of."

Michael, 22, has made 28 appearances for us this season, starting 26 times in the Premiership.

Aaron, still just 18, has featured in 22 games including 20 in the Premiership, starting 14.
