Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The smile on the face of Michael Dawson was even wider than normal as he reflected on the outcome of the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Our second win of the season with four goals banked and none conceded in the process saw to it that we hit top spot in the Barclays Premiership table.

All of the players acknowledge being top of the league two games in counts for little in the bigger Premiership picture - but the central defender insists they will enjoy it all the same.

"Top of the league!" he grinned. "It's happy days, Middlesbrough are a top team and tough opponents but it is three points for us.

"The gaffer said we had to go out and do a job against a good team. They did well but we came out with the three points and that is what matters in the end.

"We both had chances and it took a wonder goal from Jermain to set us on our way. There was a little bit of luck with Mido's goal but we will take anything."

Michael reported confidence is bubbling along nicely with the team not only scoring goals, but also protecting against any unwanted additions to our 'goals against' column.

"Two games, two wins - you've got to be confident. We've also kept the clean sheets. We knew they would be a major threat from free-kicks and there was two great saves from England's No.1 - and that was what the fans were singing.

"Blackburn away on Wednesday, if we can go there and get another three points it would be great. It would be a fantastic start if we could do that but, at the moment, we are top of the league and we will enjoy it while we're there.

"Blackburn won 2-1 against Fulham and will be full of confidence too. It will be a tough game."

Michael was forced to leave the pitch for a short time after taking a blow to the nose in the first half against the Teessiders - something of a recurring theme following his pre-season pain in South Korea.

"Again! I took another elbow and had blood all over me... It is a little bit sore but winning takes the pain away."
