It will be present throughout the rest of the season, showing the support the players enjoy from fans across the globe every time the team walk out on a matchday.
Skipper Michael said: “The players know full well the passion that our fans have for this club. As well as the thousands cheering us on from the stands, this mural is a reminder to us of all of those that are backing us from around the world through their TV screens.”
The Calling All Spurs campaign asked fans to demonstrate their passion for the Club in order to be featured on the mural, situated opposite the home dressing room at the stadium for the first time in the Club’s history. The 2,400 images that were finally selected and individually affixed to the final piece were chosen for their outstanding passion and support for the team. The completed artwork is a 2m by 5m photo mural and each featured fan photo will be seen by the players as they line up to walk out onto the field. Amongst the final selection of Spurs fans are the famous faces of Actor Mathew Horne and Radio DJ Jo Whiley.
Launched earlier in the season in September 2013 by a call to action video fronted by Michael Dawson, the ‘Calling All Spurs’ campaign aimed to bring fans closer to their footballing heroes every time they step out at White Hart Lane.
The digital version of the mural is live on the microsite [callingallspurs.com], with fans able to find their individual photo amongst the full image and share to various social platforms, showing their support for the club.
