Michael Dawson is determined to build on Wednesday's fine win against City by taking maximum points at Blackburn on Saturday.

The defender capatained the side against City and led by example as we ran out deserved 3-0 winners.

'Daws' says we now have to follow it up at Ewood Park - not least after performing so well in our last two away league matches at Villa and Everton and only coming away with two points to show for it, and then losing at home to Wolves last weekend.

City put us right back on track and Daws insisted: "It's vital we don't let that win go to waste by not performing up at Blackburn.

"This is always a tough trip, they've dangerous players and we'll have to be on our game but we're confident after the win against City.

"We'll be looking to go there and build on that result and try to maintain the performances against the likes of Villa and Everton, where we deserved more than the two points we brought back. Our away form is good and we'll be looking for the three points."

The victory against City ensured we travel up to Blackburn in fifth place in the Barclays Premier League.

"It was fantastic to get back to winning ways after the disappointing result against Wolves," added Michael.

"We all knew it was a big match and every game after a defeat is the same because you want to get back to winning ways. We did that and the way we did it is a big positive for us.

"Now we've got to continue that form at Blackburn because as I said, it won't be easy."
