Michael Dawson will sit it out again as England face a make-or-break match against Slovenia in the World Cup on Wednesday.

However, there is talk again of Jermain Defoe starting the match with boss Fabio Capello suggesting he'll make 'one or two' changes for England's final match in Group C.

Jamie Carragher is suspended after picking up a second yellow card of the tournament against Algeria on Friday.

With Ledley King injured, Carragher's ban left Capello with a straight choice between our Player of the Season 'Daws' and West Ham skipper Matthew Upson to partner John Terry at Port Elizabeth.

And Capello told the BBC: "Upson will play because he always played with John Terry and I probably will change some others."

Jermain and fellow Spurs striker Peter Crouch will no doubt come into the frame with talk in the media of changes up front.

Capello mentioned Jermain before the Algeria draw and 'JD' came on for Emile Heskey with 20 minutes remaining. Peter also came off the bench late on.

Ledley missed training again on Tuesday morning as he recovers from his groin injury.

Daws is pictured with Crouchy training on Tuesday.
