Michael Dawson refuses to believe our UEFA Cup Round of 32 tie with Shakhtar Donetsk is over, despite our 2-0 first leg defeat on Thursday.
Two late goals cost us in Ukraine after what the defender feels was a solid away performance.
Although ‘Daws' knows reversing the deficit in next Thursday's second leg at The Lane will be a tough ask, he is confident we are capable of doing just that.
"We are disappointed after the first half and first half an hour in the second half went well," he said. "The last 15 minutes have cost us but until then I think we coped well.
"Going to a place like Donetsk, we knew they would have a lot of the ball and we are a bit disappointed to go home two goals behind for next week so it is going to be an uphill task but we still believe we can do it.
"The way we conceded the first goal is always hard to take but we will look at it, work on it, and wait for next week.
"We look forward to Hull on Monday night and then back to this tie next Thursday. We will be back at home and we know how good we are at home and we will certainly have to take the game to them."
