The 22-year-old defender will face two of England's greatest-ever goalscorers when Newcastle United come to the Lane for a 1pm kick-off in the Premiership.
Owen has made quite an impact since arriving on Tyneside from Real Madrid in August.
Newcastle have only lost two of the nine games he's started and he's already bagged seven goals in that time.
Meanwhile, Premiership record goalscorer Shearer is a goal away from equalling Jackie Milburn's club record of 200 for Newcastle.
"I've never played against either of them and I can't wait," beamed 'Daws' at Spurs Lodge.
Every game is something different for me and I'm loving every minute of it
"This is another big challenge and as a defender you have to rise to it.
"Shearer is a strong guy and Owen is probably relishing playing alongside him especially looking at the goals he's scored already.
"It's a formidable pairing. Owen has showed his quality when he's played and you can see that in the games they've won with him and without him. It makes a difference what he brings to the team.
"Hopefully we'll be back to our best and keep them quiet because if we can keep a clean sheet with the players we've got and the ability to score goals we'll always win games."
Michael Dawson is relishing the prospect of taking on both Alan Shearer and Michael Owen for the first time on New Year's Eve.
