Michael Dawson can't wait to step back out at the Lane against City on Wednesday night after Saturday's disappointing loss to Wolves.
The central defender led the rallying cry as we prepare for one of the biggest games of the season so far in the Barclays Premier League.
City are one of three clubs - along with ourselves and Aston Villa - tipped to push the traditional ‘big four' all the way this term with the target of breaking into the Champions League places come May.
We go into Wednesday's encounter in fifth and sixth place respectively, with Villa now up to third after beating United on Saturday.
City have only lost once in the league so far but draws have been their Achilles heel - Saturday's 3-3 draw at Bolton their eighth in the last nine matches.
Disappointment was the name of the game after Saturday's defeat where Wolves scored inside three minutes and we just couldn't break down their defensive ranks.
"We're lucky in that we don't have to wait until next weekend to play again, we're back here on Wednesday," declared Michael afterwards. "We have to try and forget Wolves, get everyone behind us again and put on a good performance. Not only that, but we have to get the result we need as well.
"I'm sure City will feel the same as us - they will want the game to come around quickly. We'll be prepared for them and I can't wait until the match comes around.
"It's a big game, both clubs want to achieve the same thing and get into that top four. It's a huge match for both clubs."
‘Daws' said Mick McCarthy's men deserved credit for the way they defended on Saturday. "I don't think it was a bad performance and we can't be too down with how we played," he insisted. "Yes, the result was devastating but we had a lot of possession and we just couldn't get that clear-cut chance. They defended for their lives and we have to give them credit for that.
"A lot of teams might try to play the same way because they know what we're capable of and we have to be prepared for it."
