Michael Dawson is dreaming of a third trip to Wembley in as many years as we prepare to face Everton in the fourth round of the Carling Cup tonight.
Having reached the Final of the competition for the past two seasons, the defender knows exactly how much it means.
But David Moyes' men, who will be looking to overturn a run of four games without a win in all competitions, will arrive at The Lane in determined fashion.
‘Daws' said: "We've had a fantastic run in the competition over the last couple of seasons in getting to Wembley, and it's a fantastic day when you get there.
"We want to have another day at Wembley but there's plenty of hard work to be done first, and Everton will be a tough game."
Michael will be hoping to keep his place in Harry Redknapp's starting line-up tonight after playing the majority of Saturday's defeat against Stoke City in the league following his introduction as an early substitute for the injured Jonathan Woodgate.
His last start for us was in the last round of the Carling Cup in our 5-1 win at Preston on his return from an Achilles injury, so ‘Daws' will be looking to put across his case for a regular place against the Toffees.
He added: "I made my comeback from injury in the last round and I've been fit ever since which I'm pleased about.
"I've not featured as much as I would have liked since then, but with the quality of players we have here, you just have to work hard in training and take your opportunities when they come."
