Michael Dawson insists we won’t be taking Charlton lightly as we step back into FA Cup action on Sunday.
Wednesday night’s 2-1 defeat at Everton marked the end of our 11-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
And ‘Daws’ insists that loss on Merseyside has made the lads all the more determined to go on another run – starting with Sunday’s third round tie at the Lane.
Charlton include former Spurs Johnnie Jackson and Gary Doherty in their ranks and beat Luton Town in a replay to progress to the third round. They are currently fifth in League One.
“I’ve watched Charlton and they’ve been in decent form this season,” said Michael. “They come here with no fear and with nothing to lose.
“We will have to put on a professional performance and make sure we make it into the next round.
“The FA Cup is a big competition for us, we got to the semi-final last season and every game we play we take as seriously as the next, whatever competition it is.
“We’re all determined to win, to progress to the next round and to put together another unbeaten run.”
