The central defender acknowledged that the boys did not click as a team on the evening and couldn't recover from a two-goal first half deficit.
"It was a disappointing result and performance from our point view and we are obviously very low," said Daws after emerging from the dressing room.
"We've got to put it behind us now and look to Tuesday. It is hard to think like that at this moment but, come Sunday, we've got to get our heads down and work on what we didn't do here.
"I think the first goal was definitely a free-kick having seen a replay, but we are disappointed to have conceded from a set piece. The second one was a great goal by Campo and sometimes you have got to hold your hands up. We just didn't perform on the day though.
"Hopefully we can get back to winning ways on Tuesday night, if we win we'll put this game behind us and work towards it not happening again."
Michael Dawson said the team must concentrate on the challenge of gathering three points on Tuesday after not really getting going against Bolton on day one of the new season.
