With the transfer deadline now passed, Michael Dawson knows that now is the time for us to start getting points on the board.

We’ve had a difficult start and Daws knows that the long road ahead won’t get any easier. But he remains convinced that we have one extra advantage – the passion of Spurs fans.

England international Dawson has always had a special rapport with our supporters who appreciate his whole-hearted approach and total commitment to the club. And, as Michael says in the current issue of Hotspur magazine, he’s loving life at the Lane.

“I have been here for six and a half years and they have been fantastic,” he says. “The fans have been brilliant to me and it makes a big difference when you have got that relationship with them. You need them behind you.

“They have got high expectations now because of what the players have done on the pitch and the players have worked hard to get to where we are as a football club. We need them to back us again this year as they do week in, week out – we’ve also got an amazing away support wherever we go.”

Dawson is the main interview in the September issue of our popular monthly magazine where readers have the chance to win an autographed Spurs football in our latest free-to-enter competition.

Ledley King, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Jake Livermore are all featured while we also catch up with Double-winning centre-half Maurice Norman, who inspired such a response in terms of questions from supporters when his participation was announced that he will be back again in October to respond to many more!

We also talk with Absolute Radio’s Russ Williams about his love of Spurs while Ossie Ardiles is back with his exclusive column. We track down our former defender Stuart Nethercott at Ware FC, where he is now manager, profile former Scottish international Steve Archibald and chat to Justin Edinburgh, who continues to play for our veterans’ side.

All this and more on the club you adore! No true Spurs fan can afford to miss it.
