The skipper is determined to maintain the form we showed in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Manchster United at the Lane.

We led twice against the champions only to be pegged back twice by Wayne Rooney.

Fulham suffered a 3-0 loss at West Ham on Saturday and have since replaced Martin Jol with Rene Meulensteen.

“Fulham had a bad result against West Ham and will no doubt look to get a reaction, like we did against United,” said Michael, referring to our first Premier League match after the loss at City.

“We need to start there like we did against United, get out of the blocks quickly, get in their faces and get another win on the board.

“This time last season we had a good December and January and went on to have a good season, 72 points. There is a lot of football left to be played.

“What happened at City was a huge disappointment, but we stuck together and we move forward.”
