The 25-year-old, who slotted seamlessly into our midfield following his capture from Fulham, has been missing since featuring in the opening four games of the campaign after suffering a knee injury in training.
"It's been a blow for me," said Sean, not attempting to hide his obvious frustration. "I don't really get many injuries - bar one major one last season - so to be out for what is now six weeks has been really annoying.
"I played in the first four games before suffering with patella tendonitis, which can come about because of the pitches being a bit hard around this time of year."
With a busy spell looming, Sean is hoping he will soon be able to give Jacques Santini an extra midfield option.
"I am training now so, touch wood, everything will be alright and I'll be available very soon. That is what I am hoping for, we've got Bolton on Saturday and maybe that will be a bit too soon, but after that I hope to be ready to start getting involved again."
Sean Davis is targeting a swift return to first team action after resuming training this week.
