"I'm delighted," said Simon, preparing for Wales' prestigious friendly against Germany tonight. "This club is going places and I want to be part of it. I'm sure we have a great times ahead.
"We're all determined to take it to the next level. You could see the frustration at Leicester on Saturday, the lads were totally disappointed and those are the games we have to look to win next season.
"Personally it's gone well. Obviously we were disappointed not to get into Europe through the cups or the league but personally I set out a few targets, tried to start on the bench and go from there.
"I started on the bench at the beginning of the season, got a few games and I felt I did okay when I got my chance and that's how it's progressed thoughout the season.
"It's gone how I've planned and I want the same again next season and to continue improving."
