Simon Davies admits it was nice to get back to winning ways against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Jermain Defoe's cracker was enough to win an entertaining final home match of the Premiership season.
"It's been a while," pondered the midfielder. "I thought we played well, passed the ball around and created a few chances.
"It's difficult when you haven't won for a while and although there were a few nervous moments, we got there in the end.
"The crowd were great again. We were all aware of what happened last season against Blackburn and winning made for a much better walk around the pitch to thank the fans. We all want to make it better next season."
