David Bentley speaks highly of his time at Blackburn Rovers - but there will be no room for sentiment when we take them on at The Lane on Sunday.
Paul Ince's side sit just above us in the Barclays Premier League table at the start of the weekend, making this a must-win game for Harry Redknapp's men.
But David nonetheless took the time to pay homage to the club he left Spurs for in the summer after three successful seasons at Ewood Park.
"I loved my time at Blackburn," he said. "It's a great club with great people and going into work there every day was really enjoyable.
"I went there and felt a part of something, and for the players we had and the money we spent, Blackburn were very successful during my time there.
"I found a good balance in my life with my career when I was there, but I made a decision to move on and I'm loving my time at Spurs now."
So who better to talk through what we will be able to expect against this Rovers side than their 2007 Player of the Year?
"They'll come to The Lane, get about us and close us down, but they've also got good players who can play football as well.
"During my time there, the emphasis was always on playing good football and that's what we worked on every day.
"But we're at home and it's a game we should win - we have to carry on winning and we have to stay confident despite losing a game.
"The manner in which we lost against Fulham was disappointing, but we have a chance to put things right now."
