Once again we were disappointed with the result following the game against Chelsea on Sunday, but not disappointed with the effort or, indeed the attitude or the way we passed the ball.
In the first half we had a good share of the game and had two or three balls that flashed across the face of their goal, we just needed a little nick to get them in, but didn't quite do it. Then we suffered when they scored, while Ledley King had a chance before half with a header.
It was difficult at half-time, Ziege was carrying a bit of a knock before the game, so was Mauricio Taricco and we had to substitute both. Then Jamie Redknapp got a nasty laceration to his upper lip, which means him having surgery.
It meant we had to make changes but, in saying that, I thought we took the game to Chelsea all the time and their centre halves were excellent. We definitely should have had a penalty from my quick look at that and we might have benefited from another couple of instances in the box.
There is no use moaning, we gave it a great shot. I just felt we needed to manoeuvre a clear chance and we didn't do that.
