I think the second half against Fulham at a rainswept Loftus had a very fast ebb and flow to it and all the players coped with the conditions magnificently.
They found it terribly difficult in the first half, but I thought in the second period the way both sides got to grips with it was a tribute to the players.
The penalty before half-time was a defining moment, I think if we had gone in at 1-0, it would have changed the pattern of the game. We went for it early in the second half and Fulham, with Malbranque and Boa Morte very positive on the counter attack, and it became more difficult when we were chasing it a little bit.
At 1-1, before the cookie crumbled in their favour, it was close game and looked a good draw.
The reaction of most people to the penalty was that maybe Boa Morte was tackled outside the area, but some you get, some you don't and there is no use making too much of a fuss. I could moan that it was a big turning point, but I don't want to make too much of it.
Robbie Keane played well for us and I thought a lot of players did good things - there were a lot of technical players on the pitch. I would say though, I thought we got a lot of ball into the last third of the field, but didn't get as many efforts in at Van der Sar as we might have liked.
I am not criticising anyone after that game, it was a hard, fast encounter that went to Fulham. It could have gone to us, while a draw might have been a fairer result.
