It was a very poor performance from us against Bolton on Saturday. I don't know if extra-time against West Ham had anything to do with it, but we weren't sharp.
Technically they were better, they had a good game plan and Okocha was superb and I think his impetus in the first half made us a little disjointed.
We tried to adjust to it in the second period and had a little bit more tempo, but Bolton were better than us on the day.
If you play poorly you expect the fans to get on your back a little bit and then you have to be a very good team not to worry about it, get the ball and let the ball do the work. We weren't a good enough team to do that on the day.
It was as well as I have seen Okocha play so far, he hit the bar three times and his footwork was unbelievable. If he carries on playing like that they will be able to afford another new stadium!
We came in at half time and it was almost as if we had done well to still be in the game. Blondel had a good chance late on, but we can't complain about the result.
Sometimes you have to hold your hands up - they played better than us and were stronger than us. You can over analyse it, we were second best.
We will train hard this week and get ready to travel to Arsenal on Saturday. We look forward to every game, but this was one where we simply didn't play well.
