I am delighted that we managed to beat Blackburn Rovers on Saturday and could have scored three or four goals.
Confidence is a massive thing in football and, after Defoe's fine goal, we really took the game to Blackburn and they had to come out a little bit after that.
We played some good stuff, we passed the ball well and kept it on the grass. In the end we had to put a couple of bigger players on because of the aerial threat of Blackburn, which was there the whole game.
It's swings and roundabouts in football - there are upsides and there are always downsides. I had a sharp team out there and on a greasy surface we were a dangerous side. I would like to think that it was something for me.
We had a lot of young vibrant players around - Defoe, Keane, Davies, Brown - we scrapped well and Jamie Redknapp was what he is meant to be, a big influence in the centre.
