It was very gallant performance from the team in the second half against Manchester United on Sunday. When you are 2-0 down at half-time there is always the danger in taking the game to them and you can get a hiding.
I thought we showed fitness, good spirit, good drive and I think we were definitely unfortunate not to get a second goal. For once, I think I've had the team now for ten or so league matches, I wasn't sure on one or two refereeing decisions - although I'm sure he did his best.
We had to change things early with Darren Anderton forced off but, in saying that, I thought Gus Poyet worked very, very hard for the team and was the most experienced midfield player.
Ledley King came into the game as it progressed and Dalmat certainly caused them a few problems running with the ball.
I am always disappointed when we lose. It was always going to be a hard game, even harder when they went 2-0 up, but I can see some positives in the performance for sure.
We have a busy period now and we've got to do as well as we can as quickly as possible.
